Tips For Weight Loss - How To Reduce Calories While Retaining Your Energy Levels

by Hugh Larson

If you want to lose weight, then your best option is to cut calories from your diet. It is wise to cut at least 500 calories each and every day if you want to lose at least one pound a week. Unfortunately, calories provide your body with fuel. This means that you may not feel nearly as energized as you should throughout the day. You can prevent the sluggish feeling by doing a few simple things, so consider some of the options outlined in this article.

Eat the Right Foods

Reduce Carbohydrate Intake

Many people eat a wide variety of carbohydrates each day. These foods are digested into simple sugars, and these sugars provide your body with a quick burst of energy. The energy does not last though, and you need to continue eating sugary snacks throughout the day to feel energized. This can lead you to consume far more calories than you should. In general, about 45% to 65% of your calories should come from carbohydrates.

You probably already know that bread, crackers, and other grains contain a great deal of carbohydrates. Fruits and vegetables are filled with sugars and fiber as well. All of these carbohydrates can cause your blood sugar to rise and fall throughout the day, and your energy level will increase and decrease significantly when this happens.

You should try to cut back on your carbohydrate intake to make sure that energy levels are maintained. Do not remove the low calorie fruits and vegetables from your diet. These foods contain healthy carbohydrates. Remove some of the breads and grains instead.

Consume More Protein Rich Foods

Carbohydrates are not the only foods that provide you with energy. Protein rich foods will also make you feel energized throughout the day. These foods will provide more lasting energy so you do not feel sluggish. The protein will also keep you from reaching for a snack, because it will fill you up.

You need to start eating protein in the morning though, because the protein must be digested fully before your body can use the food for energy. Make sure to eat an egg, cottage cheese, or some yogurt in the morning. Nuts, tofu, turkey, ham, seeds and lean pork contain a good deal of protein as well, so try to eat at least one protein rich food every time you consume a meal or snack.

Try HCG Drops

Eating the right types of foods can help boost your energy, but your body will still need to get used to the reduction in the calories that you consume. This can lead to feelings of hunger and a general decrease in energy. Your body will eventually get used to the change, but you can help yourself to stay energized by forcing your body to use stored fat to create energy.

Generally, fat is slowly burned as the body needs the calorie reserves to function properly. You will then see only a small increase in your energy levels when this happens. You can boost your metabolism and force your body to use up more fat by using HCG drops.

How to Use HCG Drops

HCG drops are a weight loss supplement that contains a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin. This hormone is released naturally by the body when a woman becomes pregnant. The hormone is responsible for making sure that the growing fetus receives the nutrition it needs to grow and survive. The hormone does this by boosting your metabolism so that fat stores are utilized in conjunction with the calories that are consumed.

HCG drops are generally used when you follow a very low calorie diet. The hormone will help to stave off hunger and energy loss, because your body will create a great deal of energy as fat stores are burned.

The HCG plan asks you to place 10 drops underneath your tongue three times a day. You should do this for a full month so that your metabolism can speed up and continue burning fat once you stop taking the drops. In general, the diet plan indicates that you should only eat 500 calories a day. Speak with your physician to find out how many calories you can safely reduce from your daily diet. In some cases, your physician may ask you to eat two or three times the recommended calories. Your body will still need to use fat reserves though, as the HCG hormones cause your metabolism to elevate.

If you want to lose weight, then you need to reduce the amount of calories that you consume every day. This can make you feel tired and groggy. You can energize yourself and still lose weight by eating high protein foods and by trying HCG drops.  For more information, click here.

About Me

Good Healthcare Requires Treatment of Your Mind, Body, and Soul

I have worked in a supportive role in the medical industry for over 20 years, and I have been amazed at the advances in medicine that have been made. While it is always great to hear about a new medication that helps cure a disease or a new surgical procedure that can help someone live a normal life again after an injury, I have been especially amazed at the research that has shown just how much our physical and mental health are connected. Since I keep on top of all of the amazing medical studies being performed and I know others are too busy to hunt them down themselves, I decided to start a blog to share my favorite health tips for keeping both your mind and body healthy.
